Armor King is also a sociable person and enjoys liquor, particularly when celebrating victories with his young protege, King II. Armor King is a tall, muscular figure with tanned skin who always keeps his identity hidden behind his trademark jaguar mask. Unlike King, who wears a realistic jaguar mask, Armor King wears a black mask with one green eye and a scarred red eye, mirroring his injury, and more prominent fangs.
While his face is not seen, he is revealed to have shoulder length black hair. As his name implies, Armor King is usually seen wearing armor, which consists of a breast plate, pauldrons, gauntlets and boots, over a top and pants, which are colored either black or blue. On a few occasions, Armor King is seen without his armor, instead fighting topless, exposing his tanned skin. Version 1 : Armor King is a rival from a time when King was but a rookie. King accidentally crushed one of Armor King's eyes during a match some time ago.
Since then, King became a star of the Professional Mexican Wrestling World, basking in the spotlight; conversely, Armor King's handicap quickly sped him in the opposite direction. Armor King has joined the tournament to destroy King and to take control of the Professional Wrestling World.
The two had an intense battle, with King winning the fight, leaving Armor King to bow out of the tournament. After the tournament, the two would go on to put aside their differences and become friends. Armor King and King desperately fought one another in the past, but now they're bound together by a powerful friendship that only a comrade would know. Worried about the dead-end lifestyle his former adversary had drank himself into, Armor King tells King of the tournament Kazuya Mishima is sponsoring, thinking this is King's ticket out of despair.
However, he would have his limelight in the underground rings. After some time, Armor King heard news from the orphanage that King had gone missing because of financial difficulties and a child's death in his care.
Worried about his old friend, he went out in search of him and found him in an alleyway, mentally broken. He gave his rival his jaguar mask and convinced him to get back into the fighting spirit just in time for The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2. Ending Description, "Locker Room" : Chest X-rays and an EKG waveform, accompanied by the beep of a heart monitor, set to the sound of a rapidly ticking clock hinting that he has a heart condition , appear before the scene cuts to Armor King sitting on a bench in a locker room.
Getting ready for his wrestling match, he stands up and heads for the ring, only for his vision to go blurry, causing him to stumble, blood running from his damaged eye. He then stands upright and walks into the ring, much to the excitement of the crowd. Sometime surrounding the events of Tekken 3 , Ogre attacked many fighters around the world, including King I, who was murdered by this unknown creature.
A young orphan, upon hearing news of his mentor's death, donned King's jaguar mask and imitated his style under the King name in order to continue supporting the orphanage financially. However, the new King was not on the same level as his mentor, and repeatedly lost every competition he entered. Armor King saw a total change in his old rival as King no longer entered any wrestling tournaments and disappeared for long periods of time.
Finding King distraught and drunk in an alleyway, he convinces him to get back into the spirit of fighting and enter the second tournament. After meeting King at the tournament, he defeated him, despite the other fighter's resolve and new techniques. Telling him of his orphanage, he bids King to return to his foster children. Just who is behind the steel armor and black jaguar mask and what do they seek?
The answer is veiled in mystery. Who is this man hidden behind the black jaguar mask and steel disguised as Armor King? What's his relationship to King and for what reason did he attack Craig?
Defeating Marduk in the fifth tournament, however, was not enough to satisfy Armor King II; after the tournaments conclusion, he attacks Marduk again before disappearing. This led the duo of King II and Marduk to enter the sixth tournament in the hopes of confronting the mysterious fighter and finding his true identity, while King II also hopes to end the feud and make peace. They do make contact, but while it is revealed to King II and Marduk by Armor King II that he is the brother of the original Armor King, he reveals no further details and vows that he will never forgive Marduk.
At the present time, both Armor King II and Marduk are recovered from their wounds and preparing themselves for a rematch. Armor King II is an enigmatic figure, revealing little of his personality. It is clear though, that he was very close to his brother and that he harbors an unrelenting thirst for revenge after his murder.
He also shows a cold and uncompromising attitude toward others, and shows no fear when faced with danger. Armor King II is always seen wearing his trademark gray jaguar mask, which has one red eye and one green eye and completely covers his face, leaving his real eye and hair color unknown. While his face has never been revealed, some of his body can be seen through his outfits, revealing him to be dark-skinned.
As his name implies, Armor King II is usually seen wearing armor, made up of spiked gauntlets and pauldrons, boots, and plates on his chest and thighs, worn over black pants. His secondary outfits usually see him fight bare-chested while wearing sweatpants, gloves and sneakers. This led Armor King II to develop an intense hatred of Marduk, while King II entered the tournament in the hopes that he would beat Marduk in defense of his now dead master.
King II payed for Marduk's release from prison, and waited for Marduk at the tournament. During the 4th match of the tournament, he fought Craig Marduk. Marduk had no idea who the fighter was but fought anyway. This fighter now dubbed Armor King for the sake of fighting won the match. When Marduk asked who he was, "Armor King" responded with a kick to the head. When King II recovers from the attack, he mentions that he knows the move from somewhere.
He stands up and starts to walk away. When trying to place it back, it slipped and the frame cracked. Behind the photo was another one, shockingly revealing two Armor Kings the exact same photo the assailant was holding. King II stared at it in shock. The scene shifts to Marduk digging up the first Armor King's grave.
He sees the dead body and abruptly stands up, turns around and asks who the fighter was, who stands silently behind him.
