Is this a disease or a feature of whatever it is? Camped out on Reynolds creek over the weekend with a group of friends, we circled our wagons around a central firepit. We took a few kayaks and caught about 40 bass and a couple of yellowbelly within our group. The best bass went 35cm and the best Yella went 50cm. Cooked up a mad feed on Saturday night in the camp ovens and Weber's and chilled around the fire each night. The bush setting at the campground is beautiful with some mountains as a backdrop.
Definitely one of my favourite little campsites close to home great for a weekender. A dull day but successful day with not much rain 70 bass and one tandan. Pleasant surprise for me with a gift of a new reel from an appreciative decky. Most of the bass from the upstream point of Ians island and the isolated trees just upstream from there. Had the eagle stalking us all day and it was rewarded with several barred grunter plus a 36cm bass that did not release well. Hit the bunker group last week with a few friends and my son Brock.
I deckied in my mates 6. We hit some ordinary weather heading out but it got alot better as we reached the bunker group reefs. It started off alright with our boat finding good coral trout and red throat emperor. We tried for some red emperor but they just weren't biting so moved back to some shallower water where the trout were chewing.
We found another good patch of fish as we moved around and watched the boys in the other boat bag a few Red emperor. My son getting his PB red as well as the skipper getter his 1st ever Red times 2.
We spent the night anchored behind the reef we were fishing and rafted up having a few well earned coldies together. The next day we caught some more quality fish, then at lunch time we had a snorkel over the reef checking out all the colour of the coral and fish. As the trip rapped up our boat had caught good coral trout, red throat emperor, moari cod, tusky, Spanish flag, hussar and plenty of just under red emperor.
We left the reefs and headed in getting back to the ramp just on dusk. A stop in town that night before driving home the next day and filleting our catch.
Here are the trout from our trip back at the ranch. I avoided the donut by one. Mark boated 12 fish. One spangly,2 yellas and 9 bass. Cheers Ray. Week Month Year All Time. Quick links. Moses Perch 1 Post by inspiredbyfishing » Wed Apr 01, am Hi everyone, Moses perch to me are just as likely to be the next catch as any other estuary species but it seems they don't get as much recognition or focus as say the bream or flathead.
So that leads me to say what catches you the moses perch, lures, what lures, are they good eating? I have caught some good quantity and quality but never eaten the or seen them caught on lures first hand. Here's how to prove your vax status when you sign in. When will the Sydney lockdown end?
